Jackfruit Seeds Bonda


Ingredients
  • Jackfruit seeds 10-11 
  • Rice flour 2-3 tbsp
  • Rava 1 tbsp
  • 1 small sized onion finely chopped
  • Grated coconut 1 tbsp
  • 1 Green chilli finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves 1 tbsp finely chopped
  • Curry leaves 1 tbsp finely chopped
  • Ginger ¼ tbsp finely chopped
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste
  • Pinch of soda (optional)

Procedure
  • Remove the white skin of seeds

  • Blend the jackfruit seeds without using water

  • Now add some water and blend it to smooth & thick paste

  • Now transfer the blended paste into a bowl and add onion, grated coconut, coriander leaves, curry leaves, ginger, green chilli, salt and mix well

  • Now add rice flour, rava & soda to the above ingredients and mix well. Your Bonda batter is ready

  • Now take a frying pan, add oil and heat up
  • When the oil turns hot, do the heat test to check if the oil is hot enough by dropping a tiny amount of the batter in the oil. The batter must raise slowly and should not sink
  • When it is ready, drop bonda sized batter in the oil. Stir gently and fry it until it becomes golden brown and crispy
  • Drain on to a tissue and serve hot with coconut chutney :)
