Jackfruit Seeds Bonda |
Ingredients
- Jackfruit seeds 10-11
- Rice flour 2-3 tbsp
- Rava 1 tbsp
- 1 small sized onion finely chopped
- Grated coconut 1 tbsp
- 1 Green chilli finely chopped
- Coriander leaves 1 tbsp finely chopped
- Curry leaves 1 tbsp finely chopped
- Ginger ¼ tbsp finely chopped
- Oil for frying
- Salt to taste
- Pinch of soda (optional)
Procedure
- Remove the white skin of seeds
- Blend the jackfruit seeds without using water
- Now add some water and blend it to smooth & thick paste
- Now transfer the blended paste into a bowl and add onion, grated coconut, coriander leaves, curry leaves, ginger, green chilli, salt and mix well
- Now add rice flour, rava & soda to the above ingredients and mix well. Your Bonda batter is ready
- Now take a frying pan, add oil and heat up
- When the oil turns hot, do the heat test to check if the oil is hot enough by dropping a tiny amount of the batter in the oil. The batter must raise slowly and should not sink
- When it is ready, drop bonda sized batter in the oil. Stir gently and fry it until it becomes golden brown and crispy
- Drain on to a tissue and serve hot with coconut chutney :)
