Bread Pizza Pockets

Chana Daal Halwa (ಕಡಲೆ ಬೇಳೆ ಹಯಗ್ರೀವ)


Ingredients
  • Chana daal 1 cup
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Elaichi/ cardamom 2-3 ( elaichi powder ½ tbs)
  • Fresh grated coconut 3tbs
  • Pinch of salt
  • Dry fruits (kaju, kishmish)



Procedure
  • Soak chana daal for two hours
  • Cook chana daal and drain off the extra water. (You can cook in pressure cooker or the vessel)
  • Now add sugar, elaichi powder, grated coconut, salt and saute well
  • In low flame, cook till the sugar melts and stir constantly until thickened
  • Finally add the dry fruits and serve with Ghee.
